jonesjournal.org > newsletters e-Mailer for 12/14

Tony’s church, Highlandville AG with Pastor Joe & Joy Contreras, welcomed us last month for a missionary service as warmly as they have received Tony. He’s plugged in to youth & men’s ministry. Our former AGWM Director John & Lois Bueno also attend.

A Very Merry Christmas & A Blessed New Year!

Dear Friends,

If you'd prefer you can read this e-Mailer online, or see past issues on "Newsletter" page at jonesjournal.org. This monthly e-Mailer includes updates on our life, ministry, praise, and prayer.

Our print newsletter went out last week featuring a pictorial year in review. Please let us know if you would also like to receive the twice yearly print edition of the Jones Journal in addition to this monthly e-Mailer version. Or you can download it here.

Family highlights: Last month Gracie’s high school did an amazing production of the Sound of Music. She was the lighting designer for the four performances. Prior she helped with set building, painting, makeup and many other tech crew tasks.

Also last month Chloe, Tony & Celina were blessed to be able go to the MK Ski Retreat over Thanksgiving weekend.

This month our family gets to enjoy about a month with all six of us together before half of us return to Panamá and half return to work and university studies. That brings up the following prayer requests:

* On 12 January 2015, Grace, Yvonne & Kirk return to Panamá. We will set up a new house or apartment and Gracie will return to her old school Crossroads Christian Academy. (Effective date for change in contact information, see signature line of e-mail or Contact Us on webpage).

* The three older kids remain in the U.S. Please pray for the new family situation as parents & children adjust to nearly empty nest.

* Ministry reconnect in Panamá: promoting foster/adoption care in Christian families; rescuing at-risk children; reaching/discipling children through local churches; and training Panamanian leaders in all of the above.

At this point of transition, we thank the Lord for the year-plus of itineration ministry and the year as Missionary in Residence at Evangel U. We thank you many faithful supporters whose prayer and finance sustain us and our work. We trust God and potential new partners to provide the little bit more support we lack even once we are back on the field: $420 monthly and about $1998 cash budget.

And with wise men and women everywhere during this Christmastime we rejoice at our Savior’s birth, we bow down and worship Him, and offer up ourselves.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

(Matthew 2:10-11 ESV)

Yours for Them,

Kirk & Yvonne
